Please first check if the hotspot of the device (AAWireless-xxxxx) on default settings (force 2.4Ghz WiFi turned off), is visible from the WiFi settings of your phone. If it's not visible, your device has the wrong firmware installed from the factory. Please contact support to correct this.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Delete wifi + bluetooth AAWireless-*** devices.
  2. Reset cache + data from Android Auto and the Google Play services (https://www.androidcentral.com/how-and-when-clear-app-cache-or-data-android).
  3. Reset the AAWireless device by holding the reset button (in the pinhole) for 5-6 seconds and let go, the unit should shut down, restart and go blinking green after about 10 seconds.
  4. Reboot the phone.
  5. Manually pair to the device via bluetooth settings on the phone (without the AAWireless companion app). You do not have to setup WiFi, Android Auto will do it automatically.
